Course Information

In your professional practice you will be dealing with cases of Sepsis and Septic Shock. This course is designed around a case scenario to help you think about how you deal with patients who might have symptoms of Sepsis. What do you already know? How do you identify symptoms and treat patients who might show early signs of sepsis or already be in Septic shock?

The Septic Shock Scenario at the end of the course is the only compulsory assessment for this course. As you work your way through the scenario, you will need to reflect on your own professional practice and how you might act in a similar scenario. You will be prompted to save your answers which can be returned to at any time, and once completed, are displayed in a transcript that can be printed or copied into your own PD assessment portfolios as evidence of participation and learning.
